HOW WE GOT STARTED
I first started cutting meat in this very same building I own today, back when I was 19 it was under the ownership of my mentor Joe Hughes, then It was called "The Meat Locker". Joe taught me how to cut meat and I did so for him all of 7 years. I then went onto Food Lion in Andrews S.C. to further my butchering experience and became the meat department manager there for over 10 years. As stores turned to prepackaged and vacuum sealed meats for higher profits, I looked for a way out to preserve the art of cutting fresh meat and to supply my well-known customers with good food. It just worked out my former mentor was looking to retire as I was looking to leave the corporate world. I purchased "The Meat Locker" in October 2018 and have been cutting meat for the locals and surrounding areas ever since.
